The Japanese Cut-Leaf Maple is Great for Those in Canada

The Japanese cut-leaf maple outdoor bonsai tree is one of the most interesting types of bonsai out there. It features drooping branches and leaves that make it almost resemble a weeping willow tree. The cut-leaf maple is a fairly heavy bonsai, mainly because it is generally a large outdoor tree. It’s also a great bonsai to grow in colder climates, and it works very well in Canada. It features a good sized trunk, and its bright green leaves are very attractive during the summer and spring.

One of the most important things when it comes to bonsai and bonsai growing is how you position the bonsai in your garden. Of course, all bonsai need to be kept out of direct sunlight, which can be a bit difficult in some locations. If your bonsai is very young (less than a year old), you need to keep it out of the sun completely, so be certain to reserve the really shady spots for your younger trees. You also want to be sure that air can circulate around and between your bonsai, so it’s a good idea to leave some space between the trees. You don’t want them to be damaged by high winds, but a good breeze is very helpful. You’ll also want to keep your bonsai spread apart so you can get in and around them for watering, pruning, and fertilizing them.
