In doing research I came accross the Top 10 Downloads of the past 12 Years. CNET has been keeping tabs on their downloads since they opened in 1996. According to them, this is the list of the 10 Most Downloaded programs that consumers have downloaded.

- Winamp ( Free Audio Player )
- Napster ( Peer-to-Peer Service )
- Mozilla Firefox ( Internet Browser )
- WinZip ( DeCompressing )
- iTunes ( Apple’s Full Media Program )
- Ad-Aware ( SpyWare Program )
- Skype ( Voice Over IP Phone )
- Real Player ( Multimedia Player )
- Adobe Acrobat Reader ( PDF Program )
Alot of these programs are still utilized in everyday PC use. It’s no wonder why they’ve been on the top 10 list overall these years.
